Mr. Jochim began his career in the field of agriculture as an intern with FMC Chemical and Dow Chemical. He subsequently served as a technical service provider for the Natural Resources Conservation Service. In the years that followed, Mr. Jochim was committed to understanding every facet of his field and expanding upon his perspectives, from operating unique machinery specific to various regions to visiting corn breeding stations in Idaho.
Since 2016, Mr. Jochim has found success as the owner of Travis Jochim Farms. During this time, he was active as the owner of Novus Ag from 2019 to 2023, a tenure in which he was additionally appointed as a sales agronomist. Likewise, Mr. Jochim has excelled as the owner of Apex Agronomix since 2019.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Jochim pursued an education at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, from which he obtained a Bachelor of Science in plant and soil science in 2002. He was subsequently licensed as a certified crop adviser. Following these accomplishments, Mr. Jochim has maintained his affiliation with the American Society of Agronomy.
Hailing from a family deeply rooted in farming, Mr. Jochim is a fourth-generation farmer who was greatly influenced by his father and maternal grandfather, having farmed together with them and proudly carried on their strong agricultural legacies. Furthermore, he has been greatly motivated by the desire to better the various family farms in his region. Mr. Jochim has attributed his success to his personal drive as well as his firm commitment to helping his collaborators succeed.
