Blake Langford, owner, operator, and lead designer at Moody Blue Designs, Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in graphic design.
Mr. Langford embarked on his professional journey by earning a Bachelor of Science in graphic design from Lander University in 2011. His career began at Dillard’s Sporting Goods as a screen printer that same year. Transitioning swiftly, he became a graphic artist at Garfield Signs & Graphics from 2011 to 2012. Since 2012, he has continued refining his graphic design expertise as an artist at Guardian Building Products.
Motivated by a desire for more fulfilling work, Mr. Langford, alongside his twin brother, founded Moody Blue Designs, Inc. in 2016. He currently holds multiple roles in the company, including president, chief executive officer, designer, and wrap installer. Their entrepreneurial journey began with a sideline sticker-making endeavor that proved more financially lucrative than their primary employment. This success prompted the establishment of their own company, marking the start of their prosperous venture as entrepreneurs in the graphic design field.
Mr. Langford’s standout accomplishments include strategically acquiring printing equipment, which enabled direct service to customers and eradicated the need for external print shops. This acquisition bolstered their business offerings, allowing for greater versatility. Notably, he takes pride in his involvement in modifying Bergmann trucks and gaining recognition through a feature in Graphics Pro Magazine. Additionally, he clinched a spot in the Top 3 Most Unique Canvas at the Worldwide Wrap Awards, spotlighting his innovative designs. Outside his professional commitments, he actively participates in the Greer Rotary Club.
Looking forward, Mr. Langford envisions expanding his shop to accommodate larger vehicles such as tractor trailers, tall trucks, motor homes, and buses. For newcomers entering the industry, he emphasizes the importance of effectively managing workload and setting boundaries. His advice underscores the significance of avoiding overcommitment and understanding the value of saying no when necessary, essential aspects in navigating the demands of this profession.
