With almost 40 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Lawrence has excelled as an entrepreneur and president of Pancho’s Restaurant since 2019. He manages the business’s financial operations, supervises spending, monitors weekly sales, and keeps the management and staff current on all relevant matters. The business was established in 1945 by the Sampson family, who sold it to the Lawrences in 1976.

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Lawrence pursued an education at the University of Northern Arizona in Flagstaff, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in hotel management in 2013. Beyond his responsibilities within the field, he has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He has held the role of sponsor for the Manhattan Beach Police Department since 1995. Pancho’s Restaurant received the Wedding Award from beautifulbride.club in 2017.

Mr. Lawrence believes the success he and his business have achieved is attributable to the diligence and efforts of the staff at Pancho’s Restaurant. Several employees have been team members since the business opened five years ago. In particular, he cites the importance of the restaurant’s general manager, whose contributions and efforts played a significant role in the business’s flourishing. Outside of the professionals on his team, he believes his wife’s efforts and support have been instrumental in enabling all of his accomplishments.

Mr. Lawrence began his career in the food service industry as an employee at his family’s business. He has served in various roles in a restaurant environment, including busboy, host, doorman, and bartender. With the help and partnership of his father and brother, he opened a second Pancho’s restaurant in Nevada. In the wake of their father’s passing, he and his brother each operate the two locations individually. The Manhattan Beach location of Pancho’s Restaurant has become a fixture of the coastal city’s identity in recent years.

In the coming years, Mr. Lawrence intends to focus on two major priorities. He seeks to sustain and bolster his sobriety for the sake of his personal and professional ambitions. He and his wife hope to add to their family by having another child. They are considering a purchase of a second home in Florida for vacationing and possibly relocating one day.
