Ms. Gray, a distinguished mental health care professional, has served as an independent business owner at En Pointe Behavioral Services LLC in Willoughby Hills, Ohio, since 2017. Skilled in mindfulness, social services, group therapy, crisis intervention and family therapy, she applies decades of expertise to help patients and support their well-being. Offering various types of outpatient psychological treatment to individuals, families and couples with mental health disorders, Ms. Gray strives to provide a safe, comfortable and neutral environment.
As the owner and operator of her facility, Ms. Gray sees patients Wednesday through Saturday between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. She also manages the business side, ensuring that it is run efficiently. This includes overseeing all therapists and their work, as well as her front office personnel, who assist with billing, payments and scheduling. Ms. Gray notably employs four therapists at her practice, two of which work with children and treat patients with severe mental health disorders, such as schizophrenia, and specialize in critical incident debriefing. The remaining two therapists work part-time and specialize in treating those suffering from substance abuse, depression and anxiety.
Leveraging over 20 years of previous success as a practicing social worker, primarily in the field of addictions, Ms. Gray was inspired by her own experiences as a divorced woman whose husband suffered from alcohol abuse. While coming of age, she also endured child abuse at the hands of her parents. Having seen a social worker as a therapist to help her cope, Ms. Gray became intrigued by such topics as codependency and other areas of the field.
Before launching En Pointe Behavioral Services LLC, Ms. Gray was a private practice psychotherapist at the Humanistic Counseling Center from 2015 to 2020. She also garnered success as a clinical director at Inner Connection between 2009 and 2018 and as a program director at Community Assessment and Treatment Services from 2005 to 2016. Ms. Gray’s extensive expertise spans substance abuse, dual diagnosis, couples counseling, trauma and addiction. She is also recognized for her work in treating mental health disorders, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and grief.
Ms. Gray graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in social work from Cleveland State University in 1996 and a master’s degree in social service administration from Case Western Reserve University in 1998. Highly qualified in her field, she holds credentials as a licensed independent social worker and licensed independent chemical dependency counselor.
Besides treating her regular patients, Ms. Gray has graciously given back by providing services to individuals who cannot afford to pay. She has also made herself available to those with cancer and caretakers of those with cancer.
Throughout her tenure in mental health care, Ms. Gray’s most notable achievement was starting her successful business at age 60. She also draws immense satisfaction from significantly impacting the lives of many individuals of all ages and helping them change their thinking and beliefs to better cope with life. Additionally, Ms. Gray is grateful to several mentors she has been fortunate to work alongside, including a female employee at a local prison, who taught her much about the field.
Eager for the future of En Pointe Behavioral Services LLC, Ms. Gray’s goal is to continue growing her practice and acquire additional therapists to handle the influx of patients. She is also training her daughters to begin taking over the billing aspect of the business.
