With over three decades of experience, Dr. Ng has built a distinguished career in security and leadership, with expertise in organizational leadership, law enforcement, threat assessment, and criminal justice. He currently serves as president and chief executive officer of Blue Armor Security Services Inc., a position he has held since 2003, adjunct professor at the University of the Incarnate Word since 2023, and co-founder of the Maestro Entrepreneur Center since 2015. His experience also includes serving as chief criminal investigator for the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office from 2015 to 2018 and detective investigator with the San Antonio Police Department from 1993 to 2015. He laid a strong educational foundation, earning a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from Wayland Baptist University and a Master of Arts in public administration from St. Mary’s University, both in 2010. He further advanced his expertise with a PhD in leadership studies from Our Lady of the Lake University in 2015 and is currently pursuing a doctorate in leadership studies at the University of the Incarnate Word.
Dr. Ng has also dedicated his time to various organizations. Since 2016, he has been actively involved with The Latino Coalition and has been a member of the Greater San Antonio Builder’s Association since 2012. He served on the executive board of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce from 2014 to 2019 and co-founded the Maestro Leadership Foundation in 2016. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to helping small businesses become established and sustainable by assisting them with business planning and securing financial backing. Additionally, he is involved with another nonprofit that supports underprivileged individuals through education by providing scholarships and offering assistance to cancer patients. Additionally, he served on the board of the Texas Association of Business from 2019 to 2022, the Bexar County Family Justice Center Foundation from 2018 to 2019, and the San Antonio Education Partnership from 2016 to 2022. He was also a board member of Child Advocates San Antonio from 2016 to 2019 and served as board chair of JOVEN from 2011 to 2017. Furthering his philanthropic efforts, Mr. Ng established the Willie Ng Family Foundation, a nonprofit that provides aid to vulnerable populations and communities across Texas.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Dr. Ng has received numerous accolades, including being ranked #3 on the Top of the List: Minority Owned Firms for Blue Armor Security Services Inc. in 2015 and earning the Small Business of the Year award from the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce the same year. Blue Armor Security Services was also recognized as the 5th largest minority-owned company by the San Antonio Business Journal in 2013 and received the Minority General Services Firm of the Year award that year. He attributes his success to his ability to learn from everyone he encounters by observing the successes and failures of others.
