Since 2016, Ms. DosSantos has been actively reviewing insurance claims and contracts for Nuvance Health, analyzing accounts receivable and payer issues, and ensuring that claims are processed in accordance with contract terms. Her responsibilities also include contacting insurance companies, collaborating with provider representatives, and analyzing revenue cycle data on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis to track organizational progress. Among other tasks, Ms. DosSantos reports workflow and process improvements to supervisors, managers and directors while guiding and training team members. Ms. DosSantos’s commitment to providing information and resources has been instrumental in ensuring team success.

In addition to her role at Nuvance Health, Ms. DosSantos has served as a reimbursement analyst at Western Connecticut Health Network in Bethel, Connecticut. In this position since 2016, she continues to hone her investigative skills and manage complex insurance contracts within the revenue cycle department.

From 2011 to 2016, Ms. DosSantos worked as a medical office assistant at Claire A. Free, MD, Pediatric and Adolescent Healthcare of Brookfield. There, she managed front-desk operations, patient scheduling and administrative support for pediatric care services. Ms. DosSantos’s earlier experience included serving as a bookkeeper, accounting clerk and billing clerk at Danbury Hospital between 2008 and 2012. In this role, she managed insurance claims in the outpatient pharmacy and ensured accurate prescription reimbursement.

Ms. DosSantos began her career at Connecticut Family Chiropractic in Danbury from 2004 to 2008 as a biller and scheduler, then advanced to front desk receptionist and chiropractic assistant. She handled prior authorizations for medical services, such as MRIs and CT scans, billing processes and CPT coding. This early exposure sparked Ms. DosSantos’s enduring interest in medical billing and insurance.

A graduate of Connecticut State Community College Naugatuck Valley, Ms. DosSantos earned an associate degree in business administration with a concentration in business computer applications, magna cum laude, in 2021. She previously completed coursework at Post University in 2020. Ms. DosSantos’s educational background has provided a strong foundation for her expertise in reimbursement analysis and leadership within the health care sector.

In addition to her academic credentials, Ms. DosSantos has held a cosmetology license from TIGI Hairdressing Academy since 2003 and licensure from the Department of Public Health of the State of Connecticut. She continues to operate a small home salon, serving loyal clients from her hairstyling career. Fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish, Ms. DosSantos’s multilingual language skills enable her to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues who may have limited English proficiency.
