Since 2022, she has served as the founder and chief executive officer of CMGG Consulting Services Inc., where she oversees all aspects of the company’s operations. In this capacity, Ms. Fourie provides comprehensive bookkeeping services to a diverse client base, managing and maintaining financial records through trial balance. Ms. Fourie works closely with certified public accountants on final tax submissions, manages banking activities, performs reconciliations and oversees accounts receivable and payable. Additionally, she offers hands-on support with daily point-of-sale operations for select clients and is responsible for budgeting and forecasting.
Before her current role, Ms. Fourie founded BF McLaren Accounting in 2018, where she provided accounting services until 2022. Her entrepreneurial drive was evident as she built the business following significant personal transitions, demonstrating her ability to adapt and thrive in new environments.
From 2010 to 2012, Ms. Fourie held the position of financial operations manager at Alert Steel Polokwane in Thohoyandou, South Africa. In this role, she managed financial processes and contributed to the operational efficiency of the organization.
Ms. Fourie’s tenure as an office manager at the International Organization for Migration from 2009 to 2010 stands out as one of her most memorable achievements. During a significant cholera outbreak at the Musina sub-office, she played a vital role in both office and field work and served on the human trafficking team.
Between 2000 and 2006, Ms. Fourie managed four distinct enterprises in Botswana, which included commercial farming operations, a plant nursery, a cattle farm and a mobile safari hunting operation. She oversaw finance and operations for each business, demonstrating versatility in managing diverse industries. Earlier in her career, Ms. Fourie worked as an accountant at an automobile dealership in Musina, South Africa, specializing in import and export transactions. She also served as a store manager at a retail clothing store during this period.
Ms. Fourie began her professional journey as a nurse at Pretoria West Hospital in Pretoria, South Africa, after completing her schooling. Following political changes in the region, she became a private health au pair for a disabled young girl whose parent was the chief executive officer of Southern Africa.
In preparation for her future, Ms. Fourie earned an associate degree in accounting from Quincy College in Quincy, Massachusetts, in 2018. This qualification enabled her to transition into the U.S. workforce after her previous credentials were not recognized upon arrival. Ms. Fourie initially acquired an education diploma of education in developmental and child psychology from INTEC in 2003. She also received a certificate in safety and security in the field from the department of safety and security by the United Nations in 2009.
Ms. Fourie’s civic engagement includes volunteering with her local church and contributing knitted and crocheted baby blankets for expectant mothers, demonstrating compassion beyond her professional pursuits. She credits her success to the influence of both her parents. Her father’s exceptional work ethic inspired her own diligence, while her mother’s unwavering support encouraged her throughout her journey. Looking ahead, Ms. Fourie aims to expand CMGG Consulting Services Inc., create job opportunities for others and make a positive impact within her community by growing her business and supporting a larger client base. She also hopes to share her life experiences through writing a memoir, reflecting on overcoming poverty, abuse and personal challenges while maintaining perseverance and optimism for the future.
