In this capacity, she oversees a team of over a dozen employees and is responsible for guiding the sales team, supporting staff through training and mentorship, and collaborating with accounting to address collections or setup issues. Additionally, Ms. White is tasked with overseeing national industry events, such as the National Restaurant Show in Chicago, and following up on leads generated from these events to acquire business.
Ms. White is also committed to obtaining ongoing certifications to remain abreast in her industry while managing loans to support company growth. Her leadership is further distinguished by a strong desire to give back to her employees and community, foster client relationships and expand into new markets.
Recognized as a woman-owned small business serving clients across a broad spectrum of industries, National Access Design, LLC, is a foremost manufacturer of high-quality, durable traffic doors and industrial access solutions. The company specializes in various types of equipment, from double-acting traffic doors, industrial divider curtains and swing doors to dock seals, sectional doors and dock equipment, with a focus on quality and safety.
Before launching National Access Design, LLC, Ms. White served as a national sales manager at Custom Quality Products Inc. for 10 years, starting in 2001. In this position, she gained valuable experience building client relationships and developing effective sales strategies that contributed to her expertise today. Ms. White’s career began at age 14, marking an early start in a field traditionally dominated by men. Throughout her journey, Ms. White has faced challenges unique to women in manufacturing and business development. Despite skepticism from competitors who underestimated her potential, she has earned their attention through resilience and innovation.
Ms. White’s academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from the Carl H. Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati, graduating in 1992. She further enhanced her credentials with an international business certificate and holds a women’s business enterprise certification, both of which have supported her entry into new markets domestically and abroad.
Having developed a commitment to professional excellence that is matched by her dedication to community engagement, Ms. White is an active sponsor of the Enterprising Women Foundation and the Mount Washington Community. She also volunteers locally to support civic initiatives. Ms. White takes particular pride in empowering her employees and inspiring young people through educational outreach efforts, such as the Impact Agape event, where she introduces students to manufacturing careers and highlights the role of women in the industry. Initiatives like distributing rulers and providing incentives for mathematical thinking exemplify Ms. White’s focus on fostering learning.
Ms. White’s reputation for innovation led to a significant opportunity when the Department of Development selected her company for expansion into India after recognizing the uniqueness of National Access Design’s specialty doors made without Chinese parts. Following international meetings and interviews that drew upon her prior experience in Norway, Germany and Australia, she was chosen for advisory roles, including service on the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program board and an invitation to speak before U.S. Congress officials in Washington, D.C.
Ms. White’s success is rooted in a passion for lifelong learning, a value she encourages among all employees, and active involvement with diverse groups throughout Cincinnati. Looking ahead, she envisions National Access Design, LLC, achieving substantial growth in sales while expanding employment opportunities and deepening its culture of giving back.
