With nearly three decades of experience, Mr. Shareef has built a successful career in technology, specializing in professional development, technology strategy, operational excellence, and business development. He currently serves as chief executive officer of Millennium Enterprises Group, a position he has held since 2023, founder of It’s C.O.O.L to be S.M.A.R.T since 2018, and president of Kumbaya Realty Group since 2005. His work spans technology consulting, philanthropic efforts, and leadership programs, where he engages in areas such as app development, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data, and augmented and virtual reality to solve business challenges. Dedicated to innovation and education, he and his team aim to redefine STEM by incorporating entrepreneurship, arts, financial literacy, and mental health through their Science, Technology, Entrepreneurship, Arts, Assets, Mental Health, and Wellness (S.T.E.A.A.M.) program, blending education with entertainment to prepare students and adults for success in today’s world.
Mr. Shareef’s experience includes serving as Microsoft Atlanta site operations executive from 2021 to 2023 and as partner business development director for Microsoft’s OCP division from 2015 to 2021. He also held several roles at Lockheed Martin, including business development and capture management site lead from 2012 to 2015, business development in aircraft sales from 2006 to 2012, corporate internal auditor from 2004 to 2006, and software engineer in the engineering leadership development program from 2000 to 2004. He has also served on the foundation board of directors for Tennessee State University since 2021 and the Edge Foundation since 2019 and has been a member of the advisory board for the Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurialism, and Development at Clark Atlanta University since 2022. He is also contributing to the documentary film “It’s C.O.O.L. to be S.M.A.R.T.” and is a contributing author to “The HBCU Experience: The HBCU Royal University Kings 2nd Edition.” In light of his impressive undertakings, he has been a four-time recipient of the Microsoft Circle of Excellence – Gold Club, Microsoft Champion Award, and two-time recipient of the U.S. DX Advanced Workloads Awards 2016. He was also honored with the Reginald “Cool Mill” Shareef Scholarship Award by the Tennessee University Foundation, and at Lockheed Martin, he received the Lee Rhyant Award, Spot Award, NOVA Award, Aero Star Award, Significant Recognition Award, and SIRIUS Award.
Laying a solid educational foundation, Mr. Shareef earned a Bachelor of Science in computer science with a minor in communications from Tennessee State University, where he was a University Honors Program Scholar. His professional development includes participation in the Microsoft Global Hackathon and Lockheed Martin’s Excellence through Development and Growth Enhancement, Business, and Engineering Leadership Development Programs. He is also certified as a Project Management Professional and holds a Six Sigma Black Belt.
