With over two decades of experience to her credit, Dr. Chawla has established a successful career in education, specializing in life skills and healthcare. Since 2021, she has served as the founder of Yourlifeskills.net, where she teaches essential life skills to children aged 8 to 18, following guidelines set by the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund. She is also dedicated to her work with the International Society for Technology in Education and volunteers with Kids Against Hunger, as well as several other charitable organizations. In light of her impressive undertakings, she was honored with the Trailblazer Award from Kaiser Permanente in 2023. Laying a solid educational foundation, she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baruch College in 1995, followed by a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley. She is currently pursuing a PhD in education at Purdue University.

Reflecting on her path, Dr. Chawla, who arrived in America in 1989, initially spent a decade in the finance sector. As a finance graduate, she gained valuable experience as an assistant trader in foreign exchange on Wall Street, contributing to institutions such as AIG and Citibank, where she focused on business money, accounting, and loan trading. After her time in finance, she transitioned to the health care industry, dedicating the next 22 years to roles in pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, and health care systems. Her work included contributions to major organizations like Blue Shield and Kaiser, as well as various startups. More recently, she has specialized in health technology, particularly in Azure analytics, with an emphasis on advanced predictive analytics in health care. Driven by her passion for education, instilled by her parents, she shifted her focus to the field of education. She is currently pursuing a PhD to further her knowledge and credibility while running her online startup, YourLifeSkills.net, where she teaches essential life skills to children.

Dr. Chawla’s initiative aims to address life skills education through a curriculum rooted in UNICEF guidelines while also being responsive to contemporary social issues like Black Lives Matter and the reversal of Affirmative Action. Her primary goal is to foster empathy, reduce bullying, and improve emotional and relational skills among students. The program emphasizes critical thinking, decision-making, and self-reflection, encouraging students to engage with social issues, conduct research, and develop practical solutions. She takes great pride in her digital innovations, which have significantly impacted both education and the medical field. Notably, she has developed a women’s health product focused on oncology and sexually transmitted diseases, alongside creating educational tools. Her work has been instrumental in educating, treating, and even saving lives. She attributes her success to her resilience, faith, and deep commitment to humanity.
