With two decades of experience, Mr. Dutton has built a successful career in architecture, engineering, and custom residential design. Since 2015, he has excelled as the owner and chief executive officer of Allegro Design Co., where he oversees the growth of the company, meets with contractors to assess project progress, ensures a seamless building experience, and conducts regular meetings with his employees to track project milestones. His duties also encompass project operations, architectural design, and structural engineering. His prior experience also includes branch manager of the Woodland Park office at Rocky Mountain Group from 2010 to 2015 and architectural designer at Colorado Engineering and Geotechnical Group from 2006 to 2010. He also dedicates his time to the American Institute of Building Design and volunteers at a local food pantry. In light of his impressive undertakings, he was honored with the Top Design Talent award and was named Designer of the Year by Architectural Digest in 2023.
Mr. Dutton laid a solid educational background, earning an associate degree in architectural design and drafting from IntelliTec College, Colorado Springs, in 2007, and certification as an ICC F13 National Standard Residential Building Contractor from the International Code Council in 2023. Reflecting on his path, he recalls drawing a house for his parents at the age of two, declaring he wanted to build homes for Jesus, a vision he believes has come to fruition today. In business, he believes in bridging the connection between homeowners and builders, recognizing the importance of understanding each other’s roles in the home-building process, and strives to ensure that both parties’ needs and perspectives are communicated. He attributes his success to his faith, consistency, and surrounding himself with the right people. Looking to the future, he aspires to generate $50 million in revenue across his businesses, diversify his income streams, provide generational stability for his family, and continue building homes that honor his faith.
