Mr. Gianelis, a prominent professional in health technology, has been the founder and chief executive officer of OEE Insights since 2024. Since then, he has focused on driving sustainable improvements in manufacturing and production for clients to enhance efficiency and reduce costs for companies. That same year, he launched Gianelis Consulting as an executive health technology consultant, where he primarily helps startups with innovative ideas for medical devices that require support in creating prototypes.
Before stepping into entrepreneurship, Mr. Gianelis spent two decades in medical device product development, working for pharmaceutical companies and service providers. He was a senior director of digital health operations at Teva in Cambridge, Massachusetts, from 2020 to 2024. His tenure with the pharmaceutical company began in 2017 as the director of global commercial products before being named as the director of health operations between 2019 and 2020. Mr. Gianelis also garnered success with Ximedica in Providence, Rhode Island, for nearly a decade in various roles, including mechanical engineer, senior mechanical engineer and program manager. Earlier in his career, he was a mechanical project engineer for Proven Process Medical Devices from 2003 to 2008.
A graduate of Northeastern University, Mr. Gianelis received a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering technology in 2003. Since graduating from college, he has garnered tremendous success in his field, notably developing and commercializing the first-ever digitally connected metered-dose inhalers for treating asthma and Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Besides his primary career objectives, Mr. Gianelis has found time to give back to organizations like Habitat for Humanity and the Audrain Auto Museum. In the coming years, he intends to focus more on collaborating with his affiliated startup and securing 30-day funding to develop a groundbreaking colon cancer detection product that promises to identify the disease before it becomes visible. Moreover, Mr Gianelis intends to expand his consultancy and complete the pursuit of a Master of Business Administration from Fitchburg State University.
