Moreover, Dr. Lalova contributed as a writer for Her Campus Media LLC at Drexel University from 2017 to 2018.
Dr. Lalova’s academic journey is marked by significant achievements that have propelled her career forward. She received a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on accounting and finance from Drexel University in 2017 and a Doctor of Philosophy in finance from the school of business at the University of Connecticut in 2023. While pursuing her advanced degree, Dr. Lalova received the Finance Department PhD Student Teacher Award from the University of Connecticut in 2022.
In addition to her academic credentials, Dr. Lalova has obtained numerous certifications that underscore her proficiency in finance and data analysis. These include the financial model and valuation analyst certification from CFI, as well as various LinkedIn certifications in data science, advanced Python, algorithmic trading and machine learning. Dr. Lalova’s commitment to continuous learning is further evidenced by her participation in the Pennsylvania Leadership Skills Development One-Day Program, sponsored by KPMG LLP.
Dr. Lalova’s professional affiliations reflect her active engagement with the finance community. She is a member of esteemed organizations, including the American Finance Association, Financial Management Association International, the European Finance Association and the CFA Institute. These memberships provide Dr. Lalova with valuable networking opportunities and access to cutting-edge developments in her field.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Lalova is deeply involved in civic activities and creative projects. Her volunteer work includes recruiting for the American National Red Cross, volunteering at the Garden Museum and Manna Soup Kitchen, and mentoring graduate students from various countries. Dr. Lalova has also been a blog writer for the Novak Djokovic Foundation since 2019.
Dr. Lalova’s scholarly contributions include co-authoring “Predicting Bankruptcy: Ask the Employees” and authoring “The Value of Employee Morale in Mergers and Acquisitions: Evidence from Glassdoor,” both published in 2023. In light of her writing, she received a Best Paper Award at the International Business Analytics Conference at the State University of New York at Fredonia in 2024.
Looking ahead, Dr. Lalova envisions launching a vibrant vegan blog featuring innovative recipes accompanied by captivating cooking videos and stunning food photography. She is also determined to enhance her research skills, publish a book, and delve into new opportunities within the trading sector.
