Ms. Maharaj’s tenure at Bodybar Pilates Katy & Cypress has been marked by significant achievements. She built two successful studios from the ground up during the challenging COVID-19 pandemic while adapting to life in a new country. Under her leadership, the Katy studio became one of the most successful locations within the franchise network, earning the President’s Award twice and joining the Million Dollar Club for surpassing $1 million in revenue. These accomplishments underscored Ms. Maharaj’s expertise in franchise operations and her ability to drive sustained business success.
Before relocating to the United States, Ms. Maharaj managed her family’s real estate business in Trinidad and Tobago from 2011 to 2016. In this role, she was responsible for overseeing property management, client relations and business development initiatives. Ms. Maharaj’s early exposure to entrepreneurship through her father’s real estate company provided a strong foundation for her later ventures.
From 2004 to 2011, Ms. Maharaj worked as a procurement and supply chain management professional with various companies in Trinidad and Tobago. Among her responsibilities, she was tasked with sourcing materials and optimizing supply chain processes, skills that have proven invaluable throughout her career.
Ms. Maharaj’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management from The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, completed in 2004. She further distinguished herself by earning credentials as a certified purchasing manager from CIPS in 2011. These academic achievements have contributed significantly to Ms. Maharaj’s professional capabilities, equipping her with essential knowledge in business strategy, management principles and procurement best practices.
Ms. Maharaj is an active member of several industry and civic-related organizations. She has been a chartered member of CIPS since 2011 and holds membership in the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce and the Cypress Chamber of Commerce. She also serves as an appointed member of the Bodybar Pilates Franchise Advisory Council and participates in the Founders Club. Additionally, Ms. Maharaj is dedicated to balancing work with family life. She remains deeply involved with her three daughters, supporting their interests in music and education while actively participating in their school community through volunteer activities.
Throughout her career, Ms. Maharaj has received numerous accolades recognizing both academic excellence and professional achievement. She was honored with the Bodybar President’s Award at Bodybar Pilates Katy in 2023 and 2025 and was inducted into the Million Dollar Club for outstanding revenue performance.

Her husband’s support has been instrumental in aligning their shared vision for business growth, while mentors and teachers encouraged her to think creatively and pursue her passions with determination.
