In his role at Petersen Inc., Mr. Ritter has been instrumental in managing teams involved in developing parts, which may go through machining, welding, production and, finally, assembly. He typically manages between 10 and 20 staff members across departments and processes. Mr. Ritter believes that, as a leader, it is essential that he spend time on the floor and helping move parts. He focuses on being present, listening and communicating with the team to ensure success. He also emphasizes that they are all on the same team and that collectively, they can solve any problem that might arise.

Before assuming his current position, Mr. Ritter served as a project manager assistant at Petersen Inc. from 2019 to 2021. In this role, he supported senior management in overseeing project timelines, coordinating resources and facilitating communication among team members. His contributions during this period laid the groundwork for his advancement within the company.

Mr. Ritter first joined Petersen Inc. as an expediter, where he learned how to interpret drawings, understand parts and specifications, and follow company procedures. He described the role as a continuous learning process.

Among his recent achievements, Mr. Ritter played a pivotal role in a project that was ultimately transferred to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and subsequently shut down. He is now dedicated to finalizing the project documentation to ensure proper closure before embarking on his next assignment.

Before joining Petersen Inc., Mr. Ritter owned and operated Lakefront Auto Glass from 2006 to 2019, where he was responsible for all aspects of business management, including customer relations, financial oversight and staff supervision. This entrepreneurial experience provided him with a comprehensive understanding of business operations and reinforced his commitment to excellence in management. During much of his tenure, Mr. Ritter also worked as a technician, honing his technical skills while also managing day-to-day operations.

Mr. Ritter’s diverse background also included senior leadership in banking as a branch manager at U.S. Bank between 2005 and 2006. Earlier, he worked in the retail sector as a district manager for Family Dollar Stores, overseeing multiple retail locations and leading teams to achieve sales targets and operational goals from 2000 to 2005.

Following high school, Mr. Ritter completed college coursework that has contributed to his professional development. He credits his parents with instilling in him a strong work ethic that has been instrumental throughout his career. Their example has guided Mr. Ritter through various management roles and inspired him to pursue opportunities in project management after owning and operating his own business.

Throughout Mr. Ritter’s career, management has been a consistent theme. Looking ahead, he aims to continue managing projects and taking on new assignments while remaining an active part of his family’s life and striving for ongoing success and fulfillment both personally and professionally.
