Since 2013, he has served as the chief executive officer of Elite AV in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, he oversees all company operations, directs marketing strategy and brand awareness, manages vendor relationships and dealer locator placements, and leads the acquisition and integration of other firms. Mr. Degre also plays a central role in driving company expansion and franchise development while educating clients on advanced smart home and security technologies. Under his guidance, Elite AV has become known for precision-driven installations, thoughtful system design and a client-first approach rooted in long-term performance and reliability.
A defining aspect of Mr. Degre’s leadership has been his focus on mentorship and knowledge-sharing within Elite AV. He leads a team of over 15 employees, mentoring them in both technical skills and business acumen, and encourages each member to pursue CEDIA certification for their own professional growth. Mr. Degre’s journey began with a deep fascination for audio and video technology as a young teenager. His early passion led him to experiment with car audio and home audio systems before entering the professional field. At age 18 in 1998, he joined Ultimate Electronics in Las Vegas. Starting in the mobile electronics division, he quickly advanced to installation foreman within one year, managing both car audio and home theater installation divisions across multiple locations. During Mr. Degre’s tenure from 1998 to 2010, he directed installation teams and upheld quality standards across residential and commercial projects during a period of significant market growth.
Following the closure of Ultimate Electronics during the late-2000s housing recession, Mr. Degre transitioned to entrepreneurship as an audio-video specialist between 2010 and 2013. Operating his own sole proprietorship, he continued delivering custom home theater and integration services while expanding his expertise in business operations and client management. This experience marked a pivotal shift from technical specialist to business owner.
Mr. Degre began his professional journey as a self-employed car audio and electronics technician during the early 1990s. This formative period allowed him to develop hands-on skills in electronics installation and troubleshooting. These abilities would later distinguish Mr. Degree as an exceptional troubleshooter within the industry.
Garnering a reputation for excellence underscored by his commitment to continuous learning, unlike many peers who rely solely on experience, Mr. Degre actively pursues professional development through certifications and industry events. He holds more CEDIA certifications than any other integrator in his city, including as an integrated systems technician, installation specialist, system design expert and residential network integration credentials. Mr. Degre also dedicates approximately 200 hours each year to ongoing education through vendor training and major industry events.
Mr. Degre is an active member of CEDIA, ProSource and the Vegas Chamber. He has also served on the CDA training board as well as advisory boards such as D Tools, where he contributes insights that help shape software solutions for technicians nationwide. These roles reflect Mr. Degre’s dedication not only to advancing his own knowledge but also to elevating industry standards for all professionals. Additionally, he volunteers technical assistance to underserved individuals, including serving in prisons, and provides free services to elderly clients on fixed incomes.
Throughout his career, Mr. Degre has cultivated expertise in custom integrator work, high-end home theaters, security systems and smart home technology. He distinguishes himself through an unwavering ethical foundation centered on honesty, integrity and long-term client relationships rather than short-term gain. Mr. Degre’s achievements have been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Pinnacle Award from Control4 and ADI Global, Top Seller Representative honors from Samsung, and the Certified Showroom Award from Control4 and ADI Global. He credits much of his success to working alongside quality individuals who share these values.
As part of his vision for Elite AV’s future, Mr. Degre is focused on expanding Elite AV’s presence through opening additional locations, targeting markets such as San Diego, California, and developing scalable training programs that can be handed over seamlessly within a franchise framework. His ultimate aspiration is to leave a lasting legacy built on customer service excellence, employee development and unwavering ethical standards so that Elite AV continues to thrive under future leadership. Notably, Mr. Degre has begun acquiring another integration firm, appointing its owner as chief operating officer, to enhance operational capabilities while maintaining Elite AV’s culture of quality service, education and integrity.
