Jamil Hasan, Founder at Crypto Hipster Publications LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements and leadership in finance, technology, publishing and digital innovation.

Mr. Hasan’s career spans more than two decades in enterprise data management, financial services, media and publishing, culminating in the creation of an independent body of work documenting the people, systems and ideas shaping technology, finance and the digital economy. Since founding Crypto Hipster Publications LLC in 2022, he has transformed the company into an independent publishing platform dedicated to long-form conversations, books and educational media. Through his flagship podcast, “Crypto Hipster,” he interviews founders, entrepreneurs, technologists and institutional leaders, exploring the decisions, challenges and motivations that shape emerging technologies. Rather than focusing on market speculation, product announcements or short-term trends, Mr. Hasan’s work emphasizes the human side of innovation and the operational realities of building enduring systems.

Launched in 2021, the “Crypto Hipster” podcast has grown into one of the industry’s largest archives of founder interviews. Mr. Hasan has conducted more than 600 long-form conversations with builders across technology, finance and the digital economy. These interviews have become the foundation for an independent publishing archive that now includes 406 books and more than 1,200 combined published works, including books, interviews, solo episodes and research projects.

Mr. Hasan’s publishing philosophy is rooted in original source material. Rather than relying primarily on secondary research, he synthesizes years of firsthand conversations into books that examine recurring themes such as trust, incentives, stewardship, institutional change, governance, resilience and human behavior. His catalog intentionally crosses traditional subject boundaries, combining technology, finance, philosophy, organizational behavior, memoir and personal transformation into a unified exploration of how people adapt when the systems around them change.

Among Mr. Hasan’s recent works are “People Are People: Signals from the Human Side of Systems” and “Inheriting Saturn: When Does a System Stop Belonging to Its Creator?” Together, these books reflect his expanding focus on stewardship, institutional evolution and the human dynamics that shape complex systems. Drawing upon decades of professional experience, recovery, entrepreneurship and interviews with founders around the world, his work seeks to preserve the perspectives of those building the technologies, organizations and institutions that influence modern society.

Before establishing Crypto Hipster Publications LLC, Mr. Hasan spent nearly two decades designing, managing and improving enterprise data platforms within the financial services industry. He founded Minerva Data Advisors LLC, serving as president from 2017 to 2023, and previously established Honorable Battles Company LLC. Earlier in his career, he held technology and data leadership positions with American International Group (AIG), PineBridge Investments, AXA XL and Prudential Financial, where he developed expertise in large-scale databases, information management and business operations.

Mr. Hasan earned a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), completing a unique interdisciplinary curriculum spanning business, communications and geology. He later earned a Master of Science in finance from Drexel University, further strengthening the analytical foundation that continues to influence both his technology career and his writing.

In recognition of his expertise, Mr. Hasan was named a senior executive fellow with The Digital Economist for 2024 to 2025. He remains affiliated with the organization as an alumnus and has participated as a speaker at conferences, executive roundtables and educational forums focused on digital transformation and emerging technologies. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Hasan has supported Children International through continuous financial contributions for more than two decades, reflecting a longstanding commitment to helping children and families around the world.

Throughout his career, Mr. Hasan has combined technical expertise with a passion for communication. Drawing on more than twenty years of experience designing enterprise databases, he recognized the significance of distributed digital systems through the lens of public data infrastructure. That systems-oriented perspective has since expanded into a broader body of work examining how people, organizations and institutions adapt as technology reshapes the world around them.

Mr. Hasan attributes much of his success to resilience, continuous learning and personal growth. He believes that technical expertise alone is insufficient without empathy, curiosity and the ability to build meaningful relationships. These principles have shaped both his interviewing style and his writing, allowing him to document not only technological progress but also the human experiences behind it.

Looking ahead, Mr. Hasan plans to continue expanding his independent publishing archive while increasing its reach through institutional partnerships, keynote speaking, educational initiatives and long-form media. His long-term objective is to build a lasting body of work that documents technological and organizational change in real time, preserving the experiences of founders, builders and institutions for future generations.
