Tanya Mackenzie, Creative Director and Franchise Owner at SnapHouss, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in business development, marketing and elevating the Real Estate Industry.

Ms. Mackenzie has built a distinguished career spanning over 25 years across technology, marketing and real estate. Her current role as the creative director and franchise owner at SnapHouss in New Jersey began in 2024. After acquiring the franchise following a period of reflection at age 50 while serving as global director of partner marketing at AlgoSec, she transitioned from a senior corporate position to entrepreneurship. This decision was rooted in Ms. Mackenzie’s desire for new challenges and personal growth after she recognized limited advancement opportunities in her previous role.

At SnapHouss, Ms. Mackenzie’s responsibilities are dynamic and client-focused. She adapts daily to evolving project needs, often managing high-value listings or onboarding new agents personally to ensure quality and build strong relationships. Her expertise encompasses the full scope of real estate content creation, from photography and video to Matterport scans and floor plans, with assets processed by her creative team under her detailed direction. As relationships deepen with clients, Ms. Mackenzie delegates production work to her team to scale operations while maintaining oversight of business growth and client development. Notably, SnapHouss is a Canadian real estate company that specializes in providing high-quality photography, detailed floor plans, immersive 3D tours, stunning drone footage and innovative virtual staging, providing real estate professionals throughout North America with innovative digital content.

Outreach is central to Ms. Mackenzie’s approach. She invests significant time networking within Keller Williams offices in Bergen County, attending meetings and engaging agents to expand her client base among thousands of potential contacts. Ms. Mackenzie supplements these efforts with consistent email communication and a strong social media presence. She also employs strategic initiatives, such as complimentary headshots, lunch-and-learns and event photography, to foster connections and generate new business.

Ms. Mackenzie is most proud of her willingness to step outside her comfort zone and pursue unfamiliar paths. Moving beyond her established background in real estate photography, she has taken on event photography, learned new technical skills and sourced equipment independently. Ms. Mackenzie’s practical confidence in problem-solving continues to drive her professional journey as she pushes her own boundaries and explores how far she can go.

Before becoming a franchise owner, Ms. Mackenzie spent over five years at AlgoSec, beginning in October 2017. She first served as the director of demand generation and sales development until 2021 before advancing to global director of partner marketing through 2024. In these roles, Ms. Mackenzie managed international teams and led partner marketing initiatives that drew on her deep experience in technology-driven environments.

From 2014 to 2017, Ms. Mackenzie held the position of director of field marketing and operations at Coveo, an artificial intelligence (AI)-driven software company, in the New York City metropolitan area. There, she oversaw regional marketing strategies that supported company growth during a period of rapid expansion.

Ms. Mackenzie’s earlier career included three years as a marketing operations manager at the India-based AI-led technology services company Tata Consultancy Services Ltd., beginning in 2011. Before that, she spent over five years at Quest Software Inc., a Texas-based software development company, first as field marketing manager for database products in Toronto from 2002 to 2004, then as manager of sales and marketing operations through 2002 before relocating to Parsippany, New Jersey, as a field marketing manager for the Northeast region between 2004 and 2005. Ms. Mackenzie subsequently became the manager of international field marketing from 2005 to 2011. She began her professional journey as a lead generation manager at PeopleSoft, now Oracle, from 1998 to 1999 before joining Quest Software Inc., where she steadily advanced through increasingly senior roles over the next decade.

Laying her academic foundation at Saint Mary’s University in her hometown of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, Ms. Mackenzie earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in marketing in 1997. The analytical rigor and strategic thinking developed during her studies have underpinned her success across diverse sectors, including technology and real estate. Although she considered pursuing a Master of Business Administration immediately after graduation, Ms. Mackenzie instead prioritized hands-on professional development through numerous leadership and sales training programs throughout her career. More recently, she explored graduate-level learning opportunities focused on AI but ultimately chose a leadership program with a spiritual emphasis that included a multiday trek, reflecting her commitment to lifelong learning beyond formal education. Among her certifications is recognition as a certified scuba diver, which speaks both to her adventurous spirit and willingness to embrace new challenges outside the workplace.

Ms. Mackenzie’s civic involvement has also been significant. She has been very active with the Oakland Newcomers & Neighbors Club, where she volunteers and participates in additional community networks through informal roles. Previously, she served as the co-president, during which she was engaged in initiatives focused on fundraising for high school scholarships and charitable support within the community.

Throughout her career trajectory, Ms. Mackenzie’s expertise has been evident across technology-driven environments requiring rapid adaptation to new tools and platforms. Her passion for photography complements the creative side of real estate marketing while her management background enables effective training and support for growing teams. Ms. Mackenzie is widely regarded for using innovative marketing strategies to elevate real estate listings, particularly within Bergen County, while driving lead generation and company development.

Recognition for Ms. Mackenzie’s contributions includes several industry honors, including a President’s Award in 2007 during her tenure in the technology sector, a Global Marketing Excellence Award from ITSMA, now part of Accenture Song, in 2013 for outstanding achievement in measuring marketing performance, and a featured profile by Mighty Guides highlighting her expertise in lead generation. Ms. Mackenzie attributes much of her success to overcoming personal adversity early on through discipline and perseverance. Seeking out mentors and collaborators helped shape her path. Over time, she learned that trusting intuition informed by experience allowed for more effective leadership than rigid control alone. Today, genuine passion sustains her motivation as purposeful leadership replaces earlier ambition.

Ms. Mackenzie’s legacy is one of continual learning, resilience through adversity and unwavering dedication to elevating those around her. Looking ahead, she is committed to deepening her approach to leadership through participation in a heart-based leadership course focused on service-oriented growth and positive societal impact by example rather than by directive alone.
