Title: Owner
Company: Louisiana Medical Group
Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States
Jude Marino Jr., Owner at Louisiana Medical Group, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Healthcare.
Mr. Marino’s career is distinguished by a remarkable transition from a three-decade tenure in the telecommunications sector to entrepreneurship and healthcare leadership. Since 2023, he has served as the owner, founder and managing partner of the Louisiana Medical Group, a weight loss clinic in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, that specializes in medically supervised weight-loss programs utilizing compounded GLP-1 medications, such as semaglutide and tirzepatide, alongside nutrition counseling, meal planning and personal training services. Peptide therapies are also integrated for healing and longevity.
In this capacity, Mr. Marino oversees daily operations across multiple clinic locations. His responsibilities include ordering medications each morning with rigorous attention to accuracy, welcoming his team for daily huddles to review schedules and agendas, consulting with patients, and prescribing medications under the supervision of a collaborating physician and using detailed questionnaires to guide care. At day’s end, Mr. Marino manages business operations by running reports, analyzing sales and profitability, closing out registers, and ensuring all tasks are completed and clinics are maintained to high standards. Managing several clinics remotely, he utilizes video conferencing and structured checklists to verify that extended teams have fulfilled all operational requirements.
In addition to his primary role at Louisiana Medical Group, Mr. Marino established The Marino Group in 2021 as its founder and chief executive officer. Through this venture, he serves as a trusted advisor across business, real estate, and insurance. Mr. Marino’s expertise is further recognized through his service on the board of advisors for PharmaLabs LLC for more than 18 months.
Before entering healthcare entrepreneurship, Mr. Marino held several significant positions at Cox Business and Cox Communications. From 2020 to 2024, he was an outside sales director in Louisiana. He previously served as a regional director of inside sales for the East Coast between 2016 and 2020 and the director of sales operations from 2012 to 2016. Earlier roles included director of customer operations and interim vice president of customer operations. He began his tenure at Cox Communications as an operations and technical support manager after initially being hired as a senior financial analyst in 2003. Before being acquired by Cox, Mr. Marino was a strategic accounts manager with Cingular Wireless (now AT&T) from 1997 to 2003.
Mr. Marino’s educational foundation includes a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Louisiana State University, completed in 1997. He also pursued additional coursework totaling 150 credit hours toward a certified public accountant credential before choosing not to sit for the exam, preferring instead a path focused on leadership rather than traditional accounting roles. Additionally, Mr. Marino is recognized as a certified clinical medical assistant and certified nutrition coach.
Active in civic engagement, Mr. Marino organizes volunteer clinic days through Louisiana Medical Group, providing nutrition and weight-loss counseling for first responders, beginning with the West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Department, and extending discounted monthly medications to police officers, healthcare workers, firefighters and state employees. This initiative expanded after changes in state insurance coverage eliminated weight loss benefits for public workers.
Throughout his career, Mr. Marino has managed teams ranging from nearly 900 individuals during his corporate tenure to approximately 20 employees across his current businesses. A defining moment in his professional journey occurred when he chose to retire from corporate America before age 50 to pursue entrepreneurship in healthcare, a decision featured in the documentary “Legacy Makers” produced by Inside Success TV LLC. This bold career shift was inspired by a friend who identified an urgent need within the community. Together they launched a new venture that would become Louisiana Medical Group. Mr. Marino’s ability to leverage his extensive background in finance, operations and sales sets him apart in his field, equipping him with a comprehensive perspective that enables innovative solutions across industries.
Mr. Marino’s achievements have been recognized through numerous honors. He is a two-time inductee into Cox Communications’ Winner’s Circle as a top sales director and a three-time recipient of Leader of the Year honors during his telecommunications career. He was also included among The Official Top 100 Magazine’s Top 100 Health & Wellness Professionals in 2025 and as one of MSN.com’s Top 10 Entrepreneurs to Watch in 2026. Mr. Marino attributes much of his success to self-reliance and discipline, a strong work ethic instilled by his father, and humility as essential qualities for achievement. He believes effective management centers on treating people with dignity and respect.
Looking ahead, Mr. Marino aims to expand Louisiana Medical Group’s reach nationwide by establishing physical clinics or consulting on new openings across all 50 states. He continues to distinguish himself through resilience, adaptability and an unwavering commitment to helping others achieve better health outcomes while building lasting relationships within every community he serves.
