Andy Sukhu, founder and chief executive officer at Y2K Credit Solutions and chief operating officer at Millennium Debt Management, has been recognized by Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in financial services.

Mr. Sukhu’s remarkable career in the financial services industry spans two decades and is characterized by innovation, resilience and a steadfast commitment to client success. Since 2006, he has excelled as the founder and chief executive officer of Y2K Credit Solutions, a company he built from the ground up beginning with a single desk in his parents’ basement in Jamaica, New York. His approach was methodical and cautious; he initially operated without an employer identification number or business bank account while testing the viability of his concept. Once confident in the model’s potential, Mr. Sukhu secured $300,000 in private investment funding and obtained the necessary compliance approvals and credit bureau licensing to launch the business formally.

Under Mr. Sukhu’s leadership, Y2K Credit Solutions expanded from a virtual office to multiple units in Lake Success before relocating to a modern 2,000-square-foot office in Great Neck, New York. He personally negotiated commercial leases and oversaw every aspect of the buildout. The company’s growth continued with further expansion into Canada and Guyana, where he navigated complex licensing processes and adapted his business model to new regulatory environments. Currently, Y2K Credit Solutions operates nationwide in the United States with plans to expand into Trinidad, Jamaica and St. Vincent.

In addition to his role at Y2K Credit Solutions, Mr. Sukhu has found success as the chief operating officer at Millennium Debt Management in the Greater New York City Area since 2015. His expertise encompasses debt settlement and credit consulting, mortgage facilitation and in-house lending coordination, credit monitoring systems, life insurance licensing and investment advisory services, and financial literacy education and training initiatives. Moreover, Mr. Sukhu has demonstrated his wealth of knowledge in proprietary credit industry software development and international business licensing through Millennium Debt Management.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Sukhu worked at TCI Technologies on Long Island developing software that connected banks to credit bureaus and automated indirect lending decisions. This experience provided him with rare insight into how credit approvals are determined by automated scorecard systems rather than individual human review, a foundation that would later distinguish him as an authority in his field. Prior to TCI Technologies, he held multiple posts at BronxCare Health System, where he completed three years of pharmacy coursework while working in the hospital’s pharmacy division. He also began his professional journey at Compaq Computer Corporation before a downturn in the computer industry prompted a shift toward new opportunities.

Throughout his career, Mr. Sukhu has demonstrated qualities that set him apart within his industry. By treating each client as an extension of his own family, he emphasizes transparent communication and encourages clients to consult with him before making major financial decisions. His instinct for navigating challenges is complemented by a deep commitment to helping others achieve financial stability. Over the years, Mr. Sukhu has proudly shifted focus from monetary gain to building long-term relationships founded on trust and transparency.

Mr. Sukhu has witnessed significant changes within the financial services sector during his tenure. He regularly addresses misconceptions spread through social media regarding debt repayment and financial management. In response to these challenges, he developed products aligned with banking regulations that clarify how finance truly works for consumers. Mr. Sukhu recognizes that altering mindsets about money requires practical education tailored for those just beginning their financial literacy journey.

Among Mr. Sukhu’s proudest accomplishments is maintaining independence from traditional employment for 20 years, having never returned to a conventional nine-to-five job despite early doubts about his venture’s viability. Opening his first office required substantial personal investment and risk; however, through disciplined money management and unwavering resolve, he succeeded in building a sustainable business that continues to thrive. Mr. Sukhu attributes his success not only to discipline and consistency but also to having a clear vision for personal freedom, enabling him to structure real estate holdings under limited liability companies for maximum equity growth while enjoying a lifestyle defined by autonomy rather than external constraints.

To support his ambitions in his field, Mr. Sukhu pursued an education at the University of Miami, having earned a Bachelor of Science in computer science and information technology in 2004. Subsequently obtaining a degree in project management from Villanova University in 2007, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in industrial-organizational psychology at Queens College in 2009. In 2011, he acquired his certification as a Project Management Professional from Villanova University. Mr. Sukhu further completed three years of pharmacy coursework completed while working at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital.

Mr. Sukhu’s professional affiliations reflect both industry engagement and community involvement, having been a member of The Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce and the board of the Tibetan Buddhist Temple. Additionally, he was a board member of Kids Who Bank and actively participates in charitable gala efforts benefiting foster care children in St. Vincent. Mr. Sukhu’s contributions helped raise approximately $250,000 for foster care initiatives there within one year alone.

As an innovator within his field, Mr. Sukhu has launched several initiatives including the Real Estate Network, a program connecting clients relocating across major U.S. cities with trusted local real estate partners who ensure seamless transitions for homebuyers arriving pre-approved with strong credit profiles. This network functions as a membership arrangement with brokers committed to delivering superior customer service. Mr. Sukhu is also developing an educational division featuring seminars, a YouTube channel and a blog aimed at expanding financial literacy, efforts that have been slowed only by compliance requirements related to international expansion into Guyana.

Mr. Sukhu’s expertise extends beyond U.S borders; he successfully established operations in Canada by partnering with local ownership due to work authorization requirements before selling his interest while retaining profit-sharing rights through proprietary CRM software licensing agreements. In Guyana, he navigated anti-money laundering regulations and built out local infrastructure while integrating operations with national tax systems. Mr. Sukhu has also made numerous media appearances, including on PIX11’s morning news program, Brownes Nest TV, Hot 97 radio programs and “The Breakfast Club with DJ Envy” as well as the “Earn Your Leisure” podcast.

Looking toward the future, Mr. Sukhu remains focused on expanding into new territories and markets while continuing to support his clients through debt resolution and wealth building via mortgage referral income streams, credit monitoring partnerships and life insurance licensing enabling transitions into investment products such as indexed universal life policies. He is also excited for the forthcoming publication “Becoming a Young CEO,” which is slated for release later this year. Mr. Sukhu advises aspiring professionals that true expertise within this industry requires firsthand experience developing software for banks or credit bureaus combined with formal education in finance or economics, emphasizing that success is best achieved through preparation rather than chance alone.
