Hired in 2013, she joined the organization as an account manager. Her adeptness in financial management led to her promotion to controller in 2016. By 2024, Ms. Wallace had ascended to the role of vice president of finance.
As vice president, Ms. Wallace manages all banking functions for eight companies under her team’s purview, ensuring accuracy in bank statements and overseeing fund transfers. She also reports daily revenue figures and leads both the accounting department and quarterly leadership meetings. Ms. Wallace’s tenure has seen the company grow from 30 employees to nearly 200, a testament to her strategic acumen and adaptability during significant operational changes.
Before her tenure at Classical Conversations, Ms. Wallace honed her skills in various roles across different organizations. From 2008 to 2013, she served as a project accountant at Fiberon in New London, North Carolina. Prior to that, she was employed by Food Lion in Salisbury, North Carolina, first as a DC inventory accountant in 2005 and then as a cash management supervisor between 2007 and 2008. Ms. Wallace’s early career included positions as an accounts payable analyst at ABB in Cary, North Carolina, and as an accounting associate and cost accountant at Channel Master LLC in Smithfield, North Carolina.
Ms. Wallace’s educational background laid a strong foundation for her career achievements. Her academic journey began with an Associate of Applied Science in accounting from Johnston Community College in 1997. Subsequently, Ms. Wallace completed a Bachelor of Business Administration and computer information systems, magna cum laude, from North Carolina Wesleyan University in 2000 and a master’s degree in accounting from Gardner-Webb University in 2016.
Active in her professional community, Ms. Wallace maintains affiliations with the International Association of Women, the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and the IMA Accounting Honor Society. She is also part of the CFO Leadership Council’s Raleigh chapter. These associations have provided Ms. Wallace with platforms for networking and professional development.
Beyond her professional life, Ms. Wallace is actively involved in civic activities. She serves as the secretary and treasurer for Followers in Fellowship. Her commitment extends to supporting various charitable initiatives through Classical Conversations Foundations. Previously, Ms. Wallace contributed as an assistant cub master for the Boy Scouts of America from 2007 to 2014.
Looking ahead, Ms. Wallace plans to deepen her understanding of nonprofit organizations while continuing to support the growth of Classical Conversations. She is also exploring the integration of artificial intelligence into financial processes to enhance efficiency and security.
