Mr. Dobbs also demonstrated exceptional leadership as the owner of On Common Ground from 2016 to 2023. In this capacity, he managed the operations of a charitable grocery market and communal space located in the downtown corridor, aimed at alleviating the growing food desert crisis impacting over 11,000 low-income residents in the urban center. The center provided vital access to food, services, and educational resources for those in need while fostering a vibrant and interconnected community environment. Furthermore, he showcased his entrepreneurial acumen as the proprietor of 5 Star Saloon from 2006 to 2017 and Rise Nightclub from 2012 to 2013, both established in Reno, Nevada.

Mr. Dobbs’ professional journey also includes a commendable tenure in the U.S. Army spanning from 1992 to 2006. He served as a team lead, holding various roles, such as an active-duty social engineering specialist, where he provided strategy and support for humanitarian aid missions. His responsibilities included logistics and supply management, serving as a battalion armorer, and fulfilling duties as a combat lifesaver. Additionally, he excelled as a linguist and non-commissioned officer, showcasing his diverse skill set and leadership capabilities. In his later years, Mr. Dobbs reclassified to satellite systems operations and configuration within the Nevada Guard, further expanding his expertise from 2003 to 2006.

Mr. Dobbs laid the groundwork for his career by pursuing a Bachelor of Science in business management from Morrison University in 2014. His academic pursuits further extended to earning a Mandarin Chinese certification in applied linguistics from the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in 1993.

Mr. Dobbs’ philanthropic efforts extend to supporting initiatives with organizations such as Food to Power, Denver Food Rescue, and Metro Caring. His contributions have garnered him several accolades, including the Achievement Medal from the United States Army and multiple awards recognizing his nightclub ventures.
