Ms. DeBerry has established herself as a distinguished leader and expert in government, public policy, health care and defense. Over the course of two decades, she has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to advancing policy solutions and operational excellence across both public and private sectors.
In 2023, Ms. DeBerry founded Tenagrity Solutions, where she serves as the founder and chief executive officer. Under her leadership, the company provides strategy, communications, operations and scalability consulting services to nonprofit and for-profit clients in the health care and defense industries. Tenagrity Solutions is recognized for its focus on health care and defense policy and innovation, with recent initiatives including outreach to academic institutions to explore collaborative partnerships.
Before establishing Tenagrity Solutions, Ms. DeBerry was the vice president at Paragon Health Institute from 2021 to 2023. In this capacity, she played a pivotal role in launching the organization, which is dedicated to researching policy solutions that ensure affordable and high-quality access to health care. Ms. DeBerry’s expertise was instrumental in shaping the institute’s strategic direction during its formative years.
From 2019 to 2021, Ms. DeBerry served as the chief external affairs officer at Remote Area Medical, an international health care nonprofit that provides free medical services across the United States. Her work contributed significantly to expanding access to essential health care services for underserved populations.
Earlier in her career, Ms. DeBerry excelled as the founder and chief executive officer of Checkmate Consulting from 2013 to 2015, where she provided Federal Election Commission compliance consulting to campaigns for new candidates and incumbent congressional members running for reelection.
Among her most significant roles, however, was Ms. DeBerry’s tenure as a senior congressional staff member. During this period, she collaborated closely with the head of Medicare and his team to address long-standing Medicare reimbursement challenges that hospitals had faced for over two decades. Through extensive research and analysis, she developed a solution that was successfully implemented. As a result of Ms. DeBerry’s efforts, hundreds of hospitals remained open after 2019.
Ms. DeBerry’s academic background includes earning a Bachelor of Science in U.S. government, summa cm laude, from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee, in 2010. She also completed coursework toward a Doctor of Jurisprudence at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama, from 2014 to 2015. Ms. DeBerry’s educational achievements have provided a strong foundation for her work in legislative analysis, policy development and organizational leadership.
While in college, Ms. DeBerry interned for the reelection campaigns of U.S. Congressman Tom Price and U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander, both in 2008. She also gained experience as a research assistant at Faulkner University in 2015.
Throughout her career, Ms. DeBerry has been an active member of several industry-related organizations, including the BARDA BioMaP Consortium under the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority. Her extensive civic engagement currently includes volunteering with the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association since 2011 and serving as a temporary registrar for the City of Alexandria, Virginia, since 2012.
Ms. DeBerry’s creative pursuits are equally notable. She is an accomplished writer who self-published a children’s book titled “Reflect: The Beginning” through CreateSpace in 2015, serving as both author and illustrator. She has also contributed as a ghostwriter for Beasley Allen Law Firm and authored “The Renewal of Independence: The Nation’s Renewed Dependence on Independence” via Hester Publications.
In recognition of her success, Ms. DeBerry received numerous awards, including the FEC’s Greatest Overall Contribution to the Branch Award in 2011 for her work as a senior campaign finance analyst at the Federal Election Commission from 2010 to 2013. She was also named Empowered Woman of the Year and among the Top 50 Fearless Leaders by IAOTP in 2025.
Looking ahead, Ms. DeBerry intends to leverage the expertise she has gained through years of government service to make meaningful contributions wherever possible, while continuing to grow her business ventures. She also remains committed to inspiring other young women to pursue their dreams.
